Show me / Tell me
This part of your driving test will involve you showing or telling the examiner how you would perform 2 of the basic safety checks that you should make regularly when you have your own car. He/she will select 2 questions from the list of possible checks. The "show me" will involve actually carrying out the check, and the "tell me" will involve pointing out how you would perform the check. If you get either or both of these wrong, you will incurr one minor driving fault.
The show me/tell me is based around the general rule of "POWER" - Petrol, Oil, Water, Electrics, Rubber. All the things you should check regularly on your car before starting a journey.
