What is Pass Plus? Pass Plus is a Positive Driving course, backed by the DSA, for newly qualified drivers. It takes a minimum of 6 hours and there is no further test to take. If you are aged between 17-21 it also gives you a significant discount from your motoring insurance from a selected list of insurance companies (details available on request).
How much does Pass Plus cost? A 6 hour course costs £160 and normally runs on a Saturday from 10am to 4pm with lunch and refreshments included. It can be spread over shorter sessions if you prefer. Additional Pass Plus hours cost £25 per hour.
Why Pass Plus? Statistics show that while on the whole, the number of people killed on our roads every day is reducing, the number of young, newly qualified drivers, especially males, being killed on our roads every day has risen! By doing a Pass Plus course with us you will see for yourself how different it is to drive once you've passed your test, and how our observations and judgements can be affected by different things.
When you're driving after you've passed your test you no longer have an experienced, advanced driver sitting next to you prompting you about the road ahead. So when a lorry has a blowout in front of you, on the motorway, or your own tyre blows out, are you going to be able to react safely and in time?
When you were learning to drive, your instructor, and advanced driver, was there to help point out the dangers ahead. Now you're on your own, with a typical reaction time of 1-2 seconds slower than an experienced driver. So when you've passed your test, take Pass Plus.
