Terms and conditions

  1. A lesson booked is a lesson due for payment. Not turning up for the lesson booked, or cancelling at short notice (see paragraph 2 below), will incur the full lesson price as published, even if the lesson has not yet been paid for. We will seek to recover our costs as booking a lesson incurs costs with us to provide an instructor and a tuition vehicle for you at the booked time and day. Do not book driving lessons unless you are sure you have sufficient funds or parental agreement for the fees due. See paragraph 4 below.
  2. If you need to cancel or change your lesson, at least 2 working days notice (Monday-Friday) must be given or you will be charged, at the full in-car published price, as if you took the lesson anyway, even if the lesson has not yet been paid for. Discrectionary rules apply to exceptional circumstances, especially if you are willing to make an alternative booking within 5 days.
  3. Refunds are subject to an administration charge of £25.
  4. Each lesson must be paid for in advance otherwise we cannot guarantee to hold the booking. If you have a block of lessons booked then we ask that at least your next 2 lessons are always paid for in advance. See paragraph 5 below.
  5. If you have any financial difficulties paying for your lessons then discuss it with your instructor first, as often an agreement or alternative arrangement can be made e.g. reducing the number of hours per week.
  6. If you wish to change the address where you want picking up or dropping off then ask your instructor at least 2 working days before. Sometimes a compromise may have to be reached depending on where the instructor has the next or previous lesson booked.
  7. If you come to us with a test booked already we will first arrange an assessment lesson or mock test to see if you have reached the required standard. See paragraph 8 below.
  8. We reserve the right to refuse the use of our tuition car for a driving test if the instructor does not feel that the pupil has reached the required standard.
  9. Free lessons after personal recommendations are subject to the new client having booked and fully paid for at least 8 hours of tuition with us. The free lesson is of one hour duration unless otherwise stated.
  10. A free lesson hour may be exchanged for a £20 note for yourself.
  11. You must have had and paid for at least 4 hours of tuition from us at the standard rate before qualifying for free lessons for recommendations.
  12. The new pupil you recommended to us has to mention your name when booking in order for you to qualify for the free lesson or cashback.
  13. A lesson is charged for, and owing, (at the value of the full in-car lesson price, if the lesson is not pre-paid) if the pupil fails to arrive at the agreed address within 15 minutes of the agreed booking time.
